About
Geez……Where do I begin??
My name is Jonathan Ferraro. I grew up mostly in Central Florida. I actually went to UCF. GO KNIGHTS!! I graduated with a BA in Finance. I actually wanted to be a financial analyst. I love trading the market, and still do. But after I graduated, I noticed that most jobs I was able to get had to do with selling stock over the phone, kind of like that movie “Boiler Room”. Good flick, just not something I wanted to do with my life.
How did I begin to make money online??
Well, it really wasn’t that much of a different story than how most people get started in this business. THEY HATE THEIR JOBS. That was the case with me, also. Well…..there were multiple jobs, actually. It’s not so much that I hated them. It had more to do with the fact that the days felt like weeks, and the weeks felt like months. I figured how in the world can somebody do the same thing day in and day out for 40 years? I was going nuts after just a couple of years.
Every time the alarm clock would sound in the morning, I knew I had a long day ahead of me, and it was just beginning. I wanted to be able to make my own hours. Get up when I wanted to. Work when I wanted to. Go to lunch for as long as I wanted to. Most of all, I wanted some excitement.
I stumbled onto the warriorforum.com, one day while I was work. If you don’t know the site, it’s a website that is dedicated to all things Internet marketing. I went looking from thread to thread, and was astonished at ALL the information I was seeing. It was mind blowing to see how many people were making a living just by building websites online, and promoting products.
I began to read about all these different strategies, and before you know it, I was suffering from a complete case of “information overload”. I didn’t know where to begin. There were too many people telling me too many different things.
I wanted to make things as simple as possible for me, and thank goodness I learned about the Bum Marketing Method. If you don’t know what the Bum Marketing Method, it’s essentially a free way to make affiliate commissions, just by using article marketing and free landing pages to promote a specific product.
It was really awkward at first, because it did involve some writing, and I was never really much of a writer, to be honest with you. But something interesting started to happen. The more articles I started to write, the more comfortable I was becoming with the whole idea.
Pretty soon……I got my first sale. I cannot begin to tell you what an incredible feeling that is. When I logged into my Clickbank account and finally saw a number (besides 0) on my balance, I was hooked!!! I spent the next two months doing more bum marketing and article marketing.
After those two months, I was making on aver $700 a week with my article marketing/bum marketing. It was enough that I could quit my job and focus on my new Internet Marketing career. I wrote a book on my marketing/bum marketing strategies to help my fellow newbies called “Lens Bumming”.
But I figured if I was going to take my business to the next level, I was going to have to really learn about what the pros do. Don’t get me wrong……Bum marketing is great when you are just starting out, but if you want to go to the big leagues, you are going to have to treat your business like an actual business (not everything can be free).
I was a sponge. I tried to learn as much as I can about as many different things as I could. I am now one of the lucky people who is able to make money doing something he loves. It doesn’t get any better than that!!
I’m not going to disclose how much money I make, but let’s just say I’m comfortable, and we’ll leave it at that.
My goal in this blog is just simply to help people who think it’s too difficult to make money online. Let me be the first to tell you that it is not. It’s just a little bit intimidating. I have been where you are at right now, and can understand your frustration. Hopefully, in this blog, I can give you some tips that can make the transition a lot smoother.
Personal Stuff
I am a huge film buff. I actually went to film school. I still can’t watch a movie without dissecting the shot, editing, lighting, and music of a film. Hey…..what can I say? It’s in my blood.
I just got into surfing. I love it. There is just something about riding a wave that brings an inner peace. If you haven’t tried it, I strongly recommend it. I only wished I picked it up earlier.
I’m into music also. Who isn’t for that matter? I love a lot of old-school stuff. Most of the music, I listen to, I wasn’t alive when it first came out. Love a lot of old-school punk rock, classic rock, British rock. Miss the early 90s music scene. It seems like that was the last time mainstream music was any good. For those counting at home, my top 5 (yes I am a top 5 guy) bands are:
1. The Beatles
2. The Who
3. The Clash
4. Radiohead
5. Bob Dylan (Not really a “band”, but hey how I can leave him off the list).
My goals right now are to travel. I want to be able to live like a gypsy. I want to spend 3 months here and then spend 3 months there. Basically I just want to see the world. Luckily, I’m in the right business for that. I’ve got one of the few jobs where you can go anywhere in the world and still do your job. All I need is my trusty laptop. You gotta love the internet!!!!!
